[Simple] Homemade Mexican Salsa Recipe - If we’re being completely honest, the food at the resort in Mexico wasn’t spectacular. I felt like we were always picking through things we thought were acceptable to eat. A lot of people got sick and we weren’t exactly sure what was causing it so we were extra careful! Nobody wants to be sick on vacation
This is a yummy homemade salsa.
- Lucia's Mexican Sals
- 10 whole tomatoes
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 onion
- 1/2 cup sliced pickled jalapeno peppers
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon salt
[Simple] Homemade Mexican Salsa Recipe
Preheat oven to "broil" and move an oven rack to the highest position in the oven closest to the broiler (I have an electric oven).
1st Step - Place tomatoes on a sheet pan and broil in the oven until the skin on the tomatoes are charred and blackened. This should only take about 5-10 minutes. Flip them over and char the opposite side.
3st Step - Add the hot tomatoes and jalapeno peppers to the onion and garlic and process until no longer lumpy. (You may need to work in batches).
4st Step - Pour into bowl and stir in lime juice, cilantro and salt. Cover with tight fitting lid and refrigerate overnight.
Yum! ready to eat. thanks for coming and reading this [Simple] Homemade Mexican Salsa Recipe post, hope this post can benefit for you :)
